Welcome from the Principal
Tabor College is a registered private provider of government-accredited courses in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and the Higher Education sectors of tertiary education. These courses have been assessed by professional educators and deemed to be of equivalent standing to similar courses offered by universities and other recognized tertiary institutions. They satisfy national accreditation principles and lead to qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Tabor College is committed to the transformation of lives through Christian education (Mount Tabor is generally considered the site of Jesus’ transfiguration). This means that, while we strive for high academic standards, we are equally concerned with each student’s personal spiritual development.
Tabor College, founded on the principle that true ministry is service, considers itself a servant to the Kingdom of God. With this in mind, staff and faculty are committed to serving God, local churches and the student body. Our goal is to teach you how to think, not to teach you what to think! We believe the education provided at Tabor prepares people for fruitful work and ministry.
Because Tabor’s objective is to equip God’s people to be agents of transformation in the world, all courses are Biblically based (2 Tim 3:16-17), Christ-centred (Col 1:18-19), academically sound (2 Tim 2:15), ministry-oriented (Matt 9:37-38), positively expressed (Matt 5:1ff) and Spirit-empowered (Gal 5:22ff; 1 Cor 12:7ff).
