The Certificate I is a flexible course that provides opportunities for lay training in selected areas of Christian service and can be tailored to student interests and training needs. It includes one core module, Creative Living, and a selection of other modules.
Students learn to apply biblical principles to personal and ministry situations, and have the opportunity to develop skills relevant to chosen ministries.
The course can be completed in one semester and requires only a small amount of assignment work. It counts for 50% of the Certificate II in Ministry, which can be completed in one further semester (see below).
The Certificate III provides training to equip lay people for selected roles and responsibilities in church, Para church or mission settings. It enables them to develop knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills to face challenges and opportunities with confidence and competence.
It includes one core module, Creative Living, and a selection of other modules according to individual interests and needs.
The course can be completed in one semester and articulates directly with the Certificate IV in Ministry, which can be completed in a further semester (see below).
Duration
The courses can be completed in six months fulltime, or the part-time equivalent.
Total credit points required: 10 Cert I; 20 Cert III.
Cert. I modules carry half the credit point value of Cert III modules.
For the Certificate I, Creative Living 1 is the only required core module.

These courses offer training to equip lay people for various ministries in church and parachurch settings.
On successful completion of this course, students will have achieved a reasonable breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding of the Bible, Christian doctrines, principles of Christian living and Christian ministry, and will be able to apply these usefully in a wide range of planned and unplanned personal, family, church and community situations.
They will be able to use their knowledge and understanding to help them make choices and to exercise sound judgment in a wide range of situations, both routine and unexpected. They will be able to organise their own work competently and exercise responsibility in group situations. Studies completed as part of the Certificate IV articulate directly with the Diploma in Ministry.

This flexible course provides excellent preparation for pastoral work, assistant/associate ministry positions in church and parachurch settings, and ministry roles in the wider Christian community.
After developing a foundation of biblical studies and theology, students learn to apply biblical principles to selected areas of ministry, such as pastoral care, preaching, teaching and leadership. They also gain practical experience through a field education placement.
Duration
The course can be completed in two years or the part-time equivalent.

This course prepares men and women for vocations in Christian ministry in various denominational and other settings. It includes systematic study, wide reading and practical ministry education.
The course provides a sound theological foundation, teaches students to explore issues and to think critically, and helps them to develop biblical attitudes to ministry.
While many of the modules in the course are similar to those in the Diploma in Ministry, all are studied at greater depth and there are additional field education requirements.
All students learn to use sound principles for biblical interpretation and to apply biblical principles to specific areas of ministry (e.g. pastoral care, preaching, teaching and leadership) and gain practical experience through a major field education placement.

It has considerable flexibility and can be customized to meet training needs of people preparing for ministry roles or professional development needs of ministers working in general or specialized areas.
Participants are assisted to develop and extend their ministry skills and to develop their spiritual, personal and ministry gifts. They learn how to apply biblical principles of ministry.
On successful completion of the course, students will have deepened their understanding of selected areas of Christian ministry and will have developed skills and insights to enable them to apply their knowledge and understanding in various ministry settings.
This course forms 50% of the Graduate Diploma in Ministry and may be extended to that award.

This course is designed to provide practical training in Christian ministry and leadership for people who have tertiary qualifications which provide a sound biblical/theological base.
It has considerable flexibility and can be customized to meet either the pre-service training needs of those preparing for ministry or the continuing education needs of practicing ministers in general or specialized areas.
The course enables participants to develop and extend their ministry skills and to develop their spiritual, personal and ministry gifts. They learn how to apply biblical principles of ministry and leadership, and how to preach more effectively.
Practical experience in ministry situations, with feedback, discussion and reflection, enhances learning.
On successful completion of the course, students will have developed practical skills and insights to enable them to apply knowledge and understanding gained through previous study to ministry situations in the Christian Church, together with biblical attitudes to ministry.
